Love your fav celebrities new look? Well don’t thank her, thank the people behind the scenes! The stylist, makeup artist, hair team, photographer, all that. We love all the great celebs out there and we love, love, love their looks but hold on people, WE are the ones that create that look! Yes us, the little people, makeup artist like ourselves are the ones giving the celebrities their brands and their the ones getting all the hype!
We want to take this day to pay homage to the originators and the minds behind the magic. Diddy wasn’t fly really till June Ambrose. Jay- Z who?? yeah, June ambrose. Love Beyonce’s makeup well that was Mally Roncal and Francesca Tolot. Oh! and Miss Rhianana… that wardrobe, Mariem Harien. I mean we love you celebs but send shout outs to the people making you look good. We’re more valuable to you than the designers almost. Cause without us you were head to toe in Tracey Reese, no you want some MCQueen, some Karl, some Marc, a Gucci bag, David Yurman jewels, Choo shoes, come on now you wanna mix that thing up and only a stylist can show you how to do that. Not saying you can’t do it yourself, because you are our canvas but we make it all make sense, come together, get Right! you know.
So next time you come to a shoot late, are grumpy when you don’t get the water, or want us to go out on multiple runs for that thing that is at the end of the world, remember we love you cause we love what we do, but we are your Brand Builders! So keep it real on that red carpet or in that interview the next time an interviewer asks “how did you get that look?”.
Big ups to a few of the pioneers
June Ambrose

Misa Hylton Brim

Mally Ronchal

The list could go on for EVER!

Lipstick Mixtapes is so excited about this and we want all our supporters to come out and join this wonderful event The E.L.L.A. Music Fest is going on this weekend October 1-4th. E.L.L.A standing for ELEVATE, LISTEN, LOVE, APPRECIATE
is “A Musical Celebration of the Florida Female Artist,” it is put on to showcase to the people of Orlando the wonderful and extremely talented women that grace our fine city and state. Its purpose is to help elevate the inner spirit of all artists who have not yet heeded the call to create; to support and listen to what we, as a community of believers and communicators, have to say; to love one another, and to help spread that love beyond the walls of our inner self; and to appreciate, and to show our appreciation of what has come from our home, before it goes away and never comes back. We believe that Florida has some of the strongest and most talented women in the world, and they deserve to be heard, viewed, and celebrated. By creating this festival, we want to make sure that they are.” E.L.L.A. organizers
E.L.L.A will kick off Thursday @ 6 p.m. with a block party at the Artzy Mama Studio downtown.

Eva
Omg I had so much fun doing Eva’s makeup she came in for her birthday and told me she wanted smokey birthday eyes. Really just my specialty!
I BANGED IT OUT ! lol I love doing makeup!
Anyway so I did Smolder all over the eyelid, mixed with Dark Soul pigment (my fav for smokey it’s so rich an BLACK) I used another pigment fav Naked, umm hmm under the brow bone, with Texture in the crease can you say it I’ma a Di-Va! : p. The key to Smokey eyes and I tell this to everyone you must, you have to BLEND or yes you will look like you have a BLACK EYE not cute! So invest in really good brushes or make sure you have good size eye blending brushes.
On the skin to give her sweat proof protection, while she’s dancing her birthday butt off, I used Studio Fix Fluid, great for Oily skin and it covers EVERYTHING. On the lips Blankety again, what can I say I’m loving me some Blankety right now with Young Thing lipglass to seal in shine ummm Love it. She looks like Kim K right? gorgeous
