Italia Vogue presents Vogue Black. A-MAZING! yes , yes, yes, yes the day all black girls dreamed for first we get a Disney Princess and now Vogue Black Hallelujah. I know, I know, I know I can’t stop. This right here makes me so happy i can’t take it. It gives me so much hope for the now and the future when will countries and people see that WE
( Black people) are a market of individuals with so much taste, substance, beauty and quality to do everything God has purposed us to do and believe or not it really has nothing to with color we just happen to be black, we can do anything man! It just takes a few or to many unfortunate hurdles, road blocks and let’s be honest closed doors but we always come out, over and thru everything that some try to stop us with. Now I know some may say whatever that’s Italian Vogue whatever who cares well last time I check Miss Diana Ross a.k.a. Mahogany went her lil black a$$ right over to Italy and became a fashion icon in movie and real life. Which brings me to my motto of the year given to me by Yakira
” I Like Who Like Me” and if that’s Italian Vogue then Chile Boo I love me some Italian Vogue. This brand has been celebrating the Black woman for as long as I can remember and if Diana did a movie there in the late 70′s well then damn that’s 30 years of Amour from a city many Blacks call home. I love Italy food, culture, men, shoes all of it . and I promise you I have a passports and my next stamp will have a cute black boot on it!

So last night our friend Brittany at Clumps of Mascara hosted a Purple Lab Cosmetics party. Lots of fun catching up and doing what we do best trying out new products. Can I say I really liked these products. It’s a full line from lipgloss to creme blush which is my favorite type blush. I like creme blush because it works for both skin types especially oily skin. It blends with the texture of your skin better hence making it look more natural and if you are a bit dry it makes the skin look a bit more supple and hydrated, that was my fav product all night. The foundation was quite velvety and transfer resistant, although the color didn’t match my skin Dark was like a non tan white girl so you know it didn’t work for me but o well it’ll work on a client. i did like the texture and the matte finish was amazing.
Me trying out the pink “Cheek Implants” creme blush, at first it was peachy but as it warmed it turned to a beautiful peachy pink

Next thing i tried was the gloss can I just say me and Brit were both in agreement that it was the tasty thing we had eaten all day. It was so good it had hoo-di-ah in it, something that’s suppose to help you not want to eat. The name of the gloss was “Huge Lips Skinny Hips” lol as if I need anymore thickness in my lips but o well it taste good.

Well all was fun thanks for the invite Clumps of Mascara see ya next time!

Hope everyone had an awesome Valentine’s day and President’s day weekend. We got into a lot unexpectedly but it all goes down how it suppose to. Great events this weekend Orlando thanks for a good time.
Hearts for Haiti- with Coco Brown and the Fat Cats band, this was sponsored by Women’ s Law Group and 411 Pain at Tabu night club, very nice. Lawyers definitely know how to have a good time and it was great to see a lot of Orlando’s elite come out for the cause. The band was absolutely amazing ! I could have listened to them all night but I had to race across town to the Monica concert and that’s where the drama began lol.
Big, Big Shout out to Live Hart you looked absolutely beautiful, we were not able to stay any longer to wait for the show to start, in case you haven’t heard Monica was bunkered down in the ATL due to severe snow conditions so the concert didn’t go on womp! womp! but we still clocked some STYLE ETHICS as well as met some cool peeps at the event. So Live, Monica we need a date so we can come see you both do your thing!

Style Ethics

The color grey has been one of the hottest for this F/W 2010 season. She rocked that well and although she said her feet where hurting like hell from “New Shoes Syndrome” she was getting her FLY ON! Love the look the key with looks like this is do what she did and that’s mix up the shades of grey. U don’t want to walk around looking the Tin Man from Wizard of Oz which I have seen sometimes just matching from head to toe. I like how she pulled of the mix of textures as well Sweater dress, Suede boot, leather belt it doesn’t look like a uniform and doesn’t look so on purpose effortless . She kept her makeup soft loves that, some women would think ” O i’m wearing grey I need grey or silver eyeshadow” NO YOU DON”T! I hate that with a passion unless you are going for extreme theatrics it is not Necessary to match your makeup to your outfit!
Style Ethics #2
The TIE! yes that was all it was about his outfit that set him out from the rest. Simple but true. Men don’t wear ties anymore unless they’re going to church and that’s once a week lol. He definitely caught our attention not only because he was cute but a tie, a tie on a Friday night yeah man you did that. He was poised, powerful, and all over the place getting things done with a classic mens suit not wearing him but her wore it. Love the look, keep up the good work!
