Lipstick Mixtapes attended benefit fashion show ” Love Exist” for organization Too Write Love on Her Arms and lets get straight to the point we loved the jewelry provided by Franco & Vienneau and T- shirts by TWLOA and the swimwear was cute but that’s where it stopped. We were expecting more and when i say more that means when putting together a show or anything where entertainment is involved tell people a story, make guest feel something that says I want to buy that or look like those models and we felt none of that. We’re glad to have supported a cause, but other than that this fashion show was whack. A huge part of being in this business is great imagery things that capture an audience and make them want to see you and your work more like wow when’s the next show, well needless to say we left early. The pics are below you make the call…

Is this how we’re representing women now???
Here’s another question: Is this what YOU look like?
These pictures are from the new issue of Love Magazine, they are suppose to be the most beautiful women in the world and the most perfect bodies in the world. **Laughing on the inside** Get outta here. I can’t imagine how this is perfection and they all look the same. Shouldn’t we be celebrating perfection in women that actually exists? You can’t say that a supermodel, or a celebrity for that matter, has the most perfect body in the world when its their JOB to maintain a certain look. “Perfection” is relative anyway because if I say that my body and my look is perfect for me then that’s IT, that also means that its gonna be perfect for you too.
The editor of Love Magazine, Katie Brand said, “it was interesting studying them all in the same pose”…. **Hand goes up in the classroom** These pictures look like they should read, “I’D RATHER GO NAKED THAN WEAR FUR”, otherwise what then is the purpose of these images? Celebrating beauty? OK, maybe IF that’s your intention but here they’re just being depicted as perfect. Interesting? No. Beautiful? YES (I’m not a hater). Models? YES…. but what else are they suppose to look like???
Beauty is INTERESTING and MYSTERIOUS… beauty is VARIETY and WARMTH… and beauty isn’t always PERFECT….
… but hey, maybe that’s just MY house…
