Here are a few quick tips for getting your brows right during the “I’m growing them out” period…

1. Consider changing your hairstyle for a while. Try bangs that cover the forehead, especially if you were wrecked waxing. Bangs will help shield brows until you have enough hair to start over again.

2. Use a concealer to cover the hair, especially if your brow hair is light or soft. A little bit of concealer will help to camouflage (take the edge off ) of ugly brows.

3. Use a clear brow gel and a medium bristle tooth brush to comb hairs into  place. Although hair may be thick, if you comb your brows and smooth them, they’ll have the appearance of looking groomed even though you’re long overdue.

Today I’m coming to you with the question, how would you feel if someone told you they didn’t like your makeup? As a Makeup Artist many people will ask me if I like their makeup, and I will give my honest opinion when asked. (However there is a difference between doing makeup well, and liking/disliking a look. I share this with the people who ask me to critic their makeup). But I would never take it upon myself to go up to someone and say I don’t like your makeup #RUDE. Well, I had the awesome experience of having someone come to me and say they didn’t like a particular color I was wearing. It caught me by surprise  :/

Needless to say I didn’t ask this person for their opinion. As a matter of fact I was minding my own business, so I don’t know where this person came from…

I think it’s really important as people to express our own creativity. It’s also important to respect the choices of others, (even if we can’t see ourselves doing whatever the God-for- bidden thing the other person is doing!)

In this case I mean it’s only makeup.

Love it or Hate it, it’s artistic expression.

So for the nice lady who openly shared her opinion on my look, I said to her: “I appreciate your opinion, we all have them. But I love what I’m wearing and I think I’ll keep wearing it! Have a Nice Day!”

Here’s what I had to say on Vogue Italia’s website (” ART making ridicule of culture,lifestyle again Who in Italy cares about this anyway, couldn’t the creative team come up with something dare i say creative instead of bringing more ridicule and negative depiction to someones lifestyle. Although this is in the pages of a magazine, it’s girls around my way that really do look like this #notcool “)

LM loves, let me know your opinions…

Here’s a breakdown of what I love using  most on me and why…

My foundation is my 1st Makeup fav I want to tell you about. I have been using Luxx Perfect Finish Foundation for about 2 years now, and I can’t go anywhere without it. It matches my skin PERFECTLY! no ash,not to red and the finish is medium matte coverage that looks natural and never cakey on my face.  I used to break out a lot from other foundations but this one doesn’t cause acne breakouts and that makes me so happy and satisfied. The price is 19.50

Next is my hair products,  many people don’t know this but I am a NATURAL girl haven’t had a relaxer in almost 4 years YAY! It  get’s really hard sometimes but I’ve learned how to work with my hair, for the most part I wear it slicked back in a ponytail, it’s easy and chic, or I’ll wear a sew-in done by one of my  2 fab hairstylist!

One thing I’ve learned with natural hair is that it has to stay moisturized or it will split, break, and pop  off like nobody’s business, so to keep my tresses moisturized I use Miss Jessie’s Baby Butter Creme. It smells delicious and it’s not thick, it really is soft buttery texture that absorbs into the hair quick and doesn’t feel greasy. It comes in 3 different sizes this one is 32.00 kind of pricey but you don’t need a lot so it will last.

 Lastly is Visionnaire  Skin Corrector by  Lancome. I use this every single day, makeup, no makeup. It makes my skin feel really smooth and silky. I love the smell, it’s not as strong as some of Lancome’s other products, it’s a light fragrance which is nice. my skin feels and looks better, I think it has a more youthful look, I had a few tiny lines around my mouth but now that area is actually smooth. Great looking skin definitely starts with skincare and this is one I proudly recommend. Now put your seat belt on because this is not cheap, at 84.00 dollars this is a SPLURGE, but if it’s 2 things I don’t mind spending money on is my skin and great bed pillows, but that’s another post lol!
