Photo Sessions with Model Iris!

Tuesday, January 15th, 2013

Hello Loves! Did you all catch the Golden Globes Sunday night?! Unfortunately I missed the show so  I’ll have to search my favorite  blog sites to check out the fabulous makeup, fashion and hairstyles! In the mean time  I’m going to share with you  bts from a photo session I did with model Iris. @bookings4iris and photographer Oliver Manuel are two amazing artist I have worked with Iris on a few projects, you may recognize her from my holiday  beauty segment on Fox 35 Good Day Orlando. A   beautiful and sweet model that I enjoy working with because every time it’s so much fun and killer results.

For this photo session we did 4 different makeup looks. The above look was intense and I loved creating it. #nofilter/photoshop!

For the first shot of the day we started with a natural look being that we were poolside we wanted to keep the makeup light and natural. She wanted a look that was fresh so I gave her a look that was  delicate and easy.

Iris is  a girlie girl but she knows how to strike a pose. This was the perfect look to start off the shoot but soon after we  glammed her way up.

Brows are soft and filled in with MAC Stud eyebrow pencil

Eyelids have a seafom green cream eyeshadow mixed with a champagne color eyeshadow.

Brown eyeliner on the top/bottom with a hint of gold shadow underneath and flirty lashes completed the eye look.

Lips are a peachy pink and blush is soft baby doll pink color.

Foundation : Makeup Forever

Next was a an all out glam look. I kept calling her Barbarella because she looked liked a BOMBSHELL!

This look was sexy glamour, she’s just lying by the pool looking AMAZing without a care in the world!

I took the eyes up with a  purple eyeshadow on top of the seafom green & champagne eyeshadow colors she was wearing before. I love adding to  colors already placed. The blend of colors really creates a cool new look that is one of a kind!

To make her eyes  look even more fierce I added a GOLD sparkling liquid eyeliner to the top and my blackest black eyeliner to the inner waterline. On the lips is LM lipstick Park Avenue Pink and she is so ready to attack this shot!

Last look is the one that I just fell for! She was so beautiful from the clothes, hair,  the colors everything just popped perfectly. This was the one that said I’m a  model and I’m about that LIFE!

I had to throw a POP of pink on the lips to compliment the dark winged  out eye look! She had so much going on in this shot, but it all worked. The hair was very cute @princesskathlyn started with one style and then her creative juice got  flowing and she ended up with a loose top bun with a few braids, it was perfect!

The wardrobe was colorful with cool black and white print. Stylist @beauttisplace set it off with vintage pieces of jewelry that brought it  together even more!

I love when a vision and a team come together to create great shots. I look forward to working with you all again!

LM takes you on the Orlando Fashion scene!

Saturday, December 8th, 2012

I’ve been attending different events  lately and I must say the Orlando Fashion scene is getting better and better. Last Sunday I attended the much anticipated Life’s A Label Fashion show benefiting  local AIDS charities for World AIDS Day. The show was a packed and I was pleasantly surprised by many of the designs on the runway. . I would have to say for me the best looks of the night came from Cheyenne Kimora and Jason Studnicky. Both designers brought a refreshing flair to the runway.

Cheyenne Kimora models walked the runway wearing my current fav look of  the season black/white. A hot trend that definitely stands out because the look is so stylish and just about anyone can wear it. The models looked b-girl glam in striking black and fresh white. The looks really  stood out and looked great on every model. My favorite piece were the black/white pants with fringe, those were really hot!

Orlando Fashion

From where I was sitting the makeup looks appeared to be winged liner, and a red lip. Models had a variety of hairstyles but overall everyone looked great!

The Jason Studnicky collection was a bit more structured and tailored. Models walked the runway in a slow flow making sure that you were able to see every move and detail of the clothes. My fav look was the opening model who looked beautiful in a thigh high dress with elongated shoulders. The yellow flower print dress looks beautiful on her mocha skin and sublte makeup was the choice to go with these outstanding pieces!

Orlando Fashion

Later in the week RAW Natural Born Artist held its final event for 2012. A holiday Christmas party, the night was  festive and Merry! I for one decided to dress in my holiday apparel  and it was fun to be glammed up.

Orlando Fashion

Jacket: H& M

Dress : Vintage Halston

Makeup: shimmery ivory eyeshadow, MAC Raisin Blush, and dare I say it black lip liner with black shimmer gloss!

Footwear: Black Alien boots

RAW saved the best for last in an awesome fashion show for the night by:

re:deux

A new brand of re purposed clothing designed by Anne Benson. Anne’s art is sculpture and her medium is fabric.

Each item of clothing is an original and one-of-a-kind, created under Anne’s artistic direction from 100% recycled materials. re:deux has minimal environmental impact.

Orlando Fashion

Avi Salon provided the amazing hairstyles for the models. He  went on to do a live on stage styling  for the audience to see, he was great teasing and spraying and finessing that hair, love it!

Orlando Fashion

Another great RAW Orlando event and I’m so so excited to see so many emerging artist getting out and doing their thing.

Until next time Love & Lipstick!

LM is BTS with Tween Girl Magazine

Wednesday, November 28th, 2012

I recently shot a Holiday 2012 magazine spread with popular magazine Tween Girl Style Magazine. The magazine  is popular with  8-14 year old girls who are smart, friendly and that just want to have fun. The fresh innocence and stylish magazine is one tween girls love and  moms enjoy it too.

For the month of December the editorial spread was shot by Nicole Mithchem Photography, styled by Tina of Style Attic, and Makeup/Hair by Lipstick Mixtapes.

Here’s a quick behind the scenes video of the tween models getting styled and primped in their best holiday looks at the beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel. For more on Tween Girl Style Magazine click the link and check them out on Facebook & Twitter!
