I hope you all have had a great weekend and are ready for a powerful week. This weekend has been a whirl wind but I have kept up with the crazyness that is Lipstick Mixtapes. I’m so happy I was able to spend some time with my blog group “Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida” on last week. I’m usually always working so whenever I get a chance to get with this amazing group of women I love it. We are all about beauty products, tips, tricks, and events!
On last Wednesday StephImperfectPaint arranged for the BBoCF to attend Guerlain & Champagne event held at Neiman Marcus to swatch and try out the new Fall line which has been released a month earlier than any other location so we got first dibs!
The collection was great full of fall colors that are perfect for transitioning from Summer to Fall. A highlight of the collection is a new line of lipstick which comes in a gloss tube rather than a traditional lipstick tube. The texture was creamy and gives a semi-matte finish to the lips. I really like the pink color I tried but I did put a gloss over it for a tiny bit of shine.
The case was so cool and very heavy, it has to weigh at least 2lbs with an attached mirror and that fact that it looks like a giant bullet it was pretty cool! Besides having this great new lipstick when you make a purchase of 350 dollars or more doing the event of the fall launch you receive a brush set worth 250 dollars. Now you know I had to check out the makeup brushes to find out what was so great about them since it was a set of only 5 and it’s worth 250. The Guerlain rep explained to me that the larger brushes are made of goat hair and the smaller stiffer brushes were a blend of boar hair and synthetic. I did like the way they felt but of course I can’t affirm the way they perform without really using them but they were nice.
The event was a lot of fun and I learned so much about the Guerlain brand. I was informed that Guerlain was the first company to put lipstick in a tube and that was a fact I did not know. So thank you Guerlain for being innovative and hosting Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida, I look forward to trying more of your amazing products.
Yeah it was fun. I learned a lot about the Guerlain product line. the fall collection is pretty fabulous. I need to get my hands on that brush set!
