LM attends RAW Orlando ” Mixology”
Last night LM got on the scene to attend the first RAW Orlando event.
RAW is -natural born artists an independent arts organization, for artists, by artists.
The mission of the organization is to provide independent artists within the first 10 years of their career with the tools, resources and exposure needed to inspire and cultivate creativity.
They welcome artist from mostly all creative genres like independent film, fashion, music, visual art, performing art, hairstylists, and makeup artists as well as others. Ashlie Rolfe the Orlando Director was so kind and energetic. I got to chat with her about the organization and the plans for the next show. I won’t spill the beans so you have to be there August 9,2012 to experience RAW Orlando.
I love the fact that they “encourage the creative success of the many visionaries and storytellers of our generation”.
The works of these artist were awesome. I missed some of the booths but the ones I did see were amazing.
I was especially excited to finally get to see and hear Jamie Charoen who is a wonderful signer/songwriter. Jamie has a great indie/pop sound that is uniquely her own. A beautiful woman with a great voice, and a powerful personality. I had the privilege of meeting Jamie last year when I got to do her makeup and hair for her promo materials, when I met her I knew that she was going to be doing GREAT things!
I was also happy to hang out with some of my creative friends from the Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida and Chris of Diverstile. Creative individuals know how to find one another!
The event ended with a fun Rockabilly Style fashion show and the DJ had everybody working it out on the dance floor! So if you want to find out more about RAW head over to the website and make it to their next showcase August 9, 2012
