I don’t even know where to start with the recap so I’m just going to  post pics and tell you who what when and where, sorry my mind is past overload, so if you’re on twitter now is a good time to follow @LIPSTICKMIXTAPE so you can keep up when things are current : )

So I am crazy excited because  Brink mag 2010 Holiday issue  is out NOW!  Featuring the amazing work and inspiration of photographer  Kikomo P ,  Lipstick Mixtapes, Zelanda Bailey, snf  Jen Class killing the styling yes this collaboration is an early Christmas  present to me Thank you Kikomo! An  amazing photographer I absolutely loved working with Kikomo is  one of the best. I’m sad because she recently moved to NY but no doubt the move was for greater things, and LM wishes her well! Check the spread below Happy Holidays lets CELEBRATE.

o wow  o wow o wow is all I can say about last night’s Brink Magazine launch and the Magic beating Boston whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat! lol Anyway thank you to  everyone that came out to support Kyle Menard Editor & Chief of  this  awesome new magazine in its 5th issue, and those who came out to meet and support Lipstick Mixtapes.

We had no idea you loved us so much but you being there REALLY means a lot! Big shout out to the  DJ omg she was killing it Dj Lola B. I love great music and you had me beaming! Everyone looked so happy so good so many talented and good energy people in the room. We love connecting with people on such a humble and free level, no animosity, no evil agendas just  really good vibes thru out the place. If you were not there too bad for you : ) ha ha . First thing first Myself and Meagan B on the cover of Brink Magazine  so excited the issue is out in publication this week so make sure to pick it up at FYE music store in Millenia mall or  7-Eleven on Colonial and a slew of other spots here in the city. We kept it low key at the beginning of the week due to meetings and what nots, but by Thursday we were all in.

The Royal 6  Passion for Fashion Event given by photographer Dawayne Moore to celebrate his and other’s birthdays along with the highy anticpated AV the book which is about and I quote” Intermixing the worlds of entertainment, music, fashion, art, skin, and photography, AV The Book is the latest in entertainment print media exceeding the cultural barometer. AV the Book showcases the work of Dwayne Moore in a nontraditional format. It is a high quality quarterly publication with an international audience. So the fashion show one of the best Meagan and I have been to in a while the fashions were hot they did swimwear, they did casual/date night even gave us some couture what they did not give were the designers names so I don’t know who did these amazing pieces but they were on point! What  I made certain to find out was the hair and makeup team, they did their thing I was so impressed with the continuity of the makeup everyone had the pale lid, winged out eyeliner and the bold red lip. YES YES YES you got it right we hate when we go to shows and every model has on a different makeup look NO  NO NO. The reason  for  continuity with makeup in the show is because at the end of the day it’s all about the CLOTHES not o I think this model would look better with nude lip so I’ma do her this way and her that way NO it confuses your audience takes our mind off the whole reason of the show which is the FASHION   cause now  we trying to figure out why the hell she got on purple eyeshadow and all the other models got on gold. One thing I will point out was the miss of bronzer. Makeup Artist if  the models are wearing any type of swimwear or lingerie  you have to BRONZE the body no one wants to see a sexy swimsuit and a PALE ass girl doesn’t make me want to wear it you are selling  a look not just your makeup. Other than that I was highly impressed and thought you guys did fantastic so shout’s out to Nicole on Make Up Angel on hair and Angelique on Makeup as well.
