The lighter brow trend

I talk about brows a lot, because they are my favorite feature on the face! Brows frame the face, they give an instant eye lift when tweezed correctly, and with the newest trend of coloring them in lighter, it actually makes you look younger!

In order to get this look first start with proper tweezing or threading…

Then lighten the brows with Jolen Hair bleach or what I do is lighten them with Beguile Brow set form MAC

Then use a eyeshadow (close to your hair color) along with an angled brush close to your hair color and fill in.

Brows, beautiful, and DONE!

Makeup is universal, everyone knows what it is, but when it comes to how makeup is worn it is all about wearing what suits your features best. Not everyone can wear the same thing the same way, example smokey eyes. Everyone does not have the same shape and texture of eye, so a smokey eye has to be done in a way that suits that persons eye. This isn’t to say that it can not be worn but it just has to to be done in a way that suits your features. When looking at celebrities in magazines or even your friends it is important to take a realistic evaluation of one’s self and know that you don’t have the exact same features as say Keri Hilson or Rhianna so certain products won’t look the same on you as they look on them. Now I can achieve a look that suits you with the same or similar products and techniques but to think you will look exactly like the celebrity is not going to happen. I know that makeup has the power to transform and it can, but allow it to transform and enhance you and not you trying to be look like someone else.

I cannot stop staring at this darn picture. Miss Solange looks amazing! P.s. I told ya’ll months ago when Avatar came out that it was gonna inspire bold prints on clothes. Everything about her look screams style. Fresh makeup, natural hair, clear skin and the dress is impeccable. I’m not mad at you at all! She has me wondering about my weaves now…… I may have to get up on this one…. only 3 times bigger! lol ttyl

Hold, OOON!!!!…. You just have to love the theatrics of it all! Kelis has always been a little left of center so no one should be so surprised with the “out of the box-ness” in this video. The makeup is as on point as it gets though. Our initial direction was to do a “Get the look” for the make up to tell everyone what products they can use to achieve a similar look and spin offs of them, … but that would be a whole class (which we offer btw), but for now enjoy the photos and take it in. We are kicking off our month of makeup (June) early with this right here… because its effing AMAZING!

If you love fashion like we do then this kind of news is “music to my ears”. Her music alone is awesome but Giorgio Armani on the tour??? We got our hands on the sketch mock ups of the costumes……. I’m seeing spikes, silk, chiffon, swarovski crystals, some leather…. and the boots???? Uhm, “Tickets please!!!!!” Come to FL.

*side note* I ain’t even gonna go in on how skinny the models in these sketches are….. we all know A Keys got more junk then that!….. But Ima be eeeeeeasy*
