Happy Monday LM lovers, hope you all had an awesome weekend! I’m ready for a bright and busy week and I hope you are to! Well with January almost coming to a close and February right around the corner I wanted to let many of the LM followers know that LM lends it’s writing skills to Gospel NOW magazine as well as the this blog! Gospel NOW magazine is distributed throughout Orlando Florida and it is a awesome Christian/Gospel lifestyle publication.It comes out monthly and you can find it at most church’s, restaurants and events going on in Orlando! The magazine focus is what’s going on in the Christian Community and highlights those involved on the Orlando Gospel scene as well as those doing things such as outreach programs and community initiatives. I am honored to do my part by offering a monthly beauty column where I offer makeup tips for the beginners and all the good stuff everyone wants to know about getting their perfect makeup looks. For the month of January I’m talking about makeup expiration dates which should always be paid attention to because it affects the quality of your makeup. I am very excited to be offering my expertise and I look forward to sharing every month! So if you have seen Gospel NOW magazine in your church, or your favorite soul food restaurant pick it up and be in the loop about what’s going in your Orlando Communities and get some great beauty tips get you glamorous for your day!

Makeup Bag Makeover!

Scenario:

Your reaching into your super cute handbag that you got as a Christmas present looking for your itty bitty dirty makeup bag! Yes I said it “dirty” .You won’t believe how many times a chick will reach into her banging Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel (real or fake) and pull out this horrible and disgusting looking makeup bag and I’m like really you can’t buy a 10 dollar makeup bag and throw that mess in the trash. It’ss been dropped 10 times, so powder is all over it and you’ve got nerve enough to say I’ve had this thing forever, YES, I can tell you need to buy a new one and quit squishing up your powder brush inside of it, talking about it doesn’t “work” anymore I bet, it looks like it’s been caught in the zipper 5,000 times. Ladies you got to do better when it comes to taking care of your makeup and accessories. These things say a lot about you and and believe me people do look when they see you at a club or restaurant and please don’t pull that dirty thing out at the table! Check please! Sorry I’m ranting so hard but I wouldn’t speak on it if I wasn’t seeing it, so go to Sally’s beauty supply or Betsey Johnson they have some really cute and affordable makeup bags preferably in a dark color to camouflage the nastiness and if you don’t want to spend the cash you can always toss it in the washing machine!

Ashanti’s New Makeup look

I am absolutely in LOVE with Ashanti’s new look for her new single ” The woman you Love”! Her makeup is Uber-Sexy and trendsetting! She’s giving me love with a killing Brow arch! (I love a sharp brow) and the eye makeup is beyond on point! The look is futuristic and edgey. Smokey, winged out cat eyeliner with major liquid liner is sexy with clean lines, no room for error with this look.

If her new album is anything like this new makeup look, (#onpoint) I will definitely be getting on the Ashanti bandwagon. I’ve always been a big Ashanti fan, so I’m excited to see and hear what’s new from her.

Master of the Mix-Jenny Costa

This Master of the Mix event had me all over the place this past weekend as I told you previously I did Jenny Costa’s makeup the beautiful Mixolgist from season 2 of the show! Jenny had a a full day of appearances and the Master of the Mix event at night so she had to be on point! She was very happy and satisfied with the makeup and hair looks I did on her check out THE LOOK!

You guys know I’m all about color so I did purple and navy blue eyeshadow on the eyes brings out Jenny’s hazel eye color. Skin is perfected with liquid matte foundation to keep her skin flawless and shine free while she parties hard. Lips are gorgeously nude with the LM lip color in ROSE and ESTHER mixed together! Blush is a subtle shimmery pink perfect for clubbing, when the strobe lights hit her skin she looks like a glamazon!

The 2nd look on Jenny was more subtle, this makeup was for day time events. I still brought drama to Jenny’s eyes with metallic gold and pink shadow with dramatic black eyeliner which she specifically requested . Lashes are long lips are nude, I chose LM lipstick in LIP for this beautiful makeup look.

Master of the Mix Orlando!

Last week in Orlando the popular reality TV show Master of the Mix made it’s final stop in our beautiful city and it brought out everyone ! Orlando’s very own Dj M-Squared is one of the shows finalist and all of the creative and most stylish crowd came out in full effect Saturday night to support him and to show how we do it down here! Can I tell you I was so proud, just about everyone represented well! Makeup, Fashion and Glamor was on point, just about everyone we snapped looked great, there were just a few that missed the memo and the mirror, #imjustsaying. So peep the pics and see how the young, fashionable and fabulous crowd represented !

This was one of my fav couples of the night. Their looks compliment each other to a T! Her natural makeup and hair look is perfect giving her girly Bohemian chic look sexy sophiscatin and style.

These ladies are so on point! Natural Hair was in full effect! I love the color blocking on Miss Thang to the right, and her earrings! I die! Major cute. Both of these ladies brought their accessories game! I absolutely love the fact that they got made up, I see color on the lips which is this seasons trend, so many girls rock nudes which is great, but it nice to see a colorful lip to compliment the outfits.

The mens! Yes Honey, they donned the wife beaters and baseball caps and grown man style was in full effect. #REFRESHING. The sweaters and button downs are working for them, I did a double take. I love how my man on the right went with color. Traditionally most guys opt for black, but these men embraced new mens style which is adding color, texture, and shape to the ensemble and they did well!

Girls, girls, Girls! This bunch is absolutely adorable and sexy! I love the array of colors, everyone looks like they belong, they all represented well! Take note this is what LM is all about Makeup, Fashion, and Glamour and they did that!
