Get the look!

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

So the look of the week goes to this young lady above! She came to me before making a trip to MIAMI! So of course I had to BEAT FACE. She wanted something that would make her look like a cat and she wanted dramatic eyes, so here’s what I did. Of course I started off with Painterly paint pot as the base from lash to brow, its a neutral eye base that blends into the skin tone. Next I mixed Reflects Antiqued Gold pigment and Dark Soul pigment together and packed them onto the lid. I switched from a packing brush to a blending brush and blended that lid shade up into her crease. I next applied soba with blackberry eyeshadow into her crease and print eyeshadow to the outer crease (I use soba with everything!). Naked pigment was brushed under the brow to highlight this beautiful eye. I wanted her eye to “dance” in the lights of Miami… so at the inner corner I applied a heavy silver glitter. Point Black liquid last eyeliner was used to create the cat like effect, I extended it far out to the edge of her eyebrows. Feline pencil was used on the water line underneath because it doesn’t run. Cat lashes, a clean tight brow and it was a wrap on the eye. As far as her skin- my go to for flawless skin is studio sculpt foundation and concealer. Make sure skin is well moisturized and use a buffer brush instead of a paint brush for foundation because its more natural and sponges absorb alot of makeup, no powder until you get shiny. Dame blush was applied to the cheeks with a TON of bronzer. Cork and Stripdown lip pencils were mixed and blended onto the lips with fleshpot lipstick and C- Thru lipglass. Deuces!
